Nepal has designated nearly 25% of it's land mass as Protected Areas, of which 15% are gazetted as National Parks. This ranges from the high mountains and the middle hills, to the riverine forests of the Ganges Flood Plain. The Government of Nepal puts tremendous effort into conservation and has had some spectacular successes with rhinoceros and tiger. Through our contacts and connections, we will take you well off the beaten track to see the fantastic wildlife of lowland Nepal, the Royal Bengal Tiger, Greater Indian One Horned Rhinoceros, Asian Elephants, all the deer species found in the forest, in fact everything you have read about in Kipling’s Jungle Book!
We are now able to get special camping permits for our luxury tented camp deep inside the National Parks, taking you up close with the wildlife and away from all other tourists. Hearing the jungle go to sleep and wake up, is a truly unforgettable experience. As part of this type of trip, we have at your disposal, specialist bird guides and game scouts, to show you the animals, help you identify them from their tracks and calls and we also offer the chance, particularly in the Autumn, to catch a Mahseer, the game fish of the Indian Sub Continent.
