Day 2:
After breakfast we will take you on a morning tour of the ancient city of Bhaktapur and Boudanath Buddhist Stupa. After lunch, you are free to wander around town, shop or simply relax in your hotel.
Day 3 to Day 6
Today we fly to our very own private tented camp in the Bardia National Park in West Nepal. The camp is on a promontory overlooking the Karnali Flood Plain. It has great views and many birds and animals can be seen from camp. We will spend 4 days here exploring the park in the hope of seeing some of the larger mammals of South Asia, including Greater Indian One Horned Rhinoceros, Sloth Bear, Leopard, 5 species of deer, 2 species of crocodile and of course, the chance to see a Royal Bengal Tiger. The birdlife is also wonderful and my expert guides will be with us to give us a fantastic insight to the park. It is likely we will go out on safari at first light, come back for breakfast or even have a picnic breakfast in the park. We will be able to do what we want and explore as much as we like! We are most likely to on safari at first light and again in the evenings. We may visit Park HQ to see any current interesting conservation projects in action and visit the elephant camp.
Day 7 to Day 8
Today we leave the park and drive back to Nepalganj Airprort to catch the mid morning flight to Pokhara. The flight time is 30 minutes. Pokhara is situated in the foothills of the Annapurnas. On arrival at Pokhara, we will transfer to your hotel, close to the lakeside. In Pokhara you will have time to explore the lakeside shops or just relax by the pool, getting yourself organised for our trek to Siklis, beginning in two days time. You will have time for your laundry and re pack your bags for the trek.
Day 9
After breakfast we meet up with our jeeps and begin the 1.5 hour drive to Bhurjung Khola, where our trek will start. All your kit is carried for you! All you need are the things for the day, such as binoculars, sun hat, spare jersey, water bottle, camera and sun cream! Again, don’t worry you will be fully briefed on all of this prior to leaving for trek.
Today we trek steadily up to our campsite at Ghale Kharka, at approximately 6000ft, where we will start to meet the rhododendron belt. The Himalayas to our north and visible much of the time, dominate this trek and weather permitting, will be a majestic backdrop. We will arrive at camp in time for tea, having had a picnic lunch earlier! Hot showers will be ready for those that want and we can then enjoy sundowners prior to dinner!
Day 10
After breakfast we begin our day trekking steadily onwards and upwards through oak, rhododendron and magnolia forest, stopping enroute for tea/coffee and a picnic lunch, before we emerge on to Tara Hill below the magnificent backdrop of Annapurna II, Fishtail and Lamjung. This is a spectacular campsite with 360 degree views at a height of 9,150ft.

Day 11
Today we leave Tara Hill and descend slowly towards the large Gurkha hill town of Siklis. Siklis has always been a major recruiting centre for the British and Indian Army Gurkhas. Our camp will be to the South of Siklis above the village of Parje. It is likely that the locals will visit our camp with their "mobile shop" consisting of beer, coke, cloth, brooches and bangles! They may even lay on a dance show for us in the evening after supper! Audience participation is expected!
Day 12
After breakfast we trek to Siklis (30 minutes) and then begin to explore this pretty hill town. We will be able to visit peoples' houses and the local school and generally see what is going on. There is a small museum there which shows you the life of the main tribe of the area, the Gurungs. After visiting the town, we begin our descent to the valley bottom for our final night's camp at Sonda.
Day 13
After breakfast we walk the short distance to the roadhead, where we meet the transport that will take us to Pokhara airport for our short flight back to Kathmandu. and our hotel.
