Dear Fishers!!
An Amazing Opportunity in Bhutan in October!
Here are the details of a Mahseer fishing trip to some fantastic unspoiled and seldom fished
rivers of Eastern Bhutan. Photos and videos attached to whet your appetite! The dates are
early October and at this stage are not fixed exactly. Roughly speaking, we would need to be
there by 5 th October.
River conditions should be good, subject as always, to weather. We will be fishing some
really wonderful wild water, only recently opened up and is producing some seriously good
fish both on fly and on spinner. Please see the itinerary attached.
Fishing is any method you want but fly and spinner are preferred and it is all very easy. The
principle is that we are based at the lodge and travel out daily to the different rivers after
breakfast, fish, have a picnic lunch and return to base for the evening. You will need to bring
all your own kit and again, I will advise on what is needed. The temperature will be hot by
day and pleasant by night. We won’t be cold!

It’s also exciting in the we will be near and can visit the Royal Manas National Park with the chance
of seeing tiger, leopard, elephants and water buffalo, as well as the Golden Langur monkey endemic
to Bhutan. The bird life is also incredible. All very exciting.
The cost of the trip, as outlined in the itinerary is: US$ 9,300 per person based on 5 people with me
leading. If people are happy to share the accommodation, then there may be a small reduction in
price as it will save single supplement charges. (A small saving).  Obviously if there are more, the
price again decreases slightly. It is full board throughout once you land in Bhutan and includes all the
visas and permits, some of which need to be sorted before we travel. The only extra is the
international airfare.
